Featured Forgotten
Carrie Fisher is a lovely woman.
Beautiful, talented, intelligent, and the daughter of Lord Vader, she is truly a fine
piece of ass.
However, since her first exposure as Princess Hot even
with the Weird Haircut, she has been frozen in the national, and indeed global, movie psyche as simply
that one character. What about her other great performances in under-appreciated
efforts like Hook and From Here to Maternity? Are they ever thought of by
lonely comic book reading geeks late at night whilst everyone else is at the Prom?
Her site is notable primarily for its poor design and lack of completion (not really something we should
be griping about, since our Bad Fan Pages site has been "under construction" since
T Rex roamed the Earth). FrontPage 3.0, according to the
HTML, was the creature which gave birth to
such a
simple page. The fact that sections are unfinished, can only be attributed to a poor web
designer (although we doubt it is Fisher herself). Her credits section, for example, has not been
updated since May 28, 1999! Good Lord- what about that mind blowing performance in
Austin Powers?
So here's the once famous Featured Forgotten site for this month.
May she get her site in shape before the next, and final, Star Wars flick comes out. Cue rolling text
....
The site, is at:
www.CarrieFisher.com
THE "FF TALLY"
Site Design: 1 Star- The background is simple, as is the layout, the
graphics, even the fonts.
Site Content: 3 Stars-
Where the heck are the autographed garter belts?.
Self-Humiliation Level: 2 Stars-
Fisher comes across as someone who's pretty comfortable with herself.
